Full Design, Build and Project Management.

My client had purchased a pair of semi detached, Grade 2* Listed Buildings, which had been empty for 7 years. The construction was of lime rendered, rammed chalk walls, with a long straw, thatched roof. Both properties were in a very poor state of repair.
My proposal entailed gaining Planning & Listed Building Approvals for the integration of both properties in to one, in conjunction with a large, two storey, rear extension, with a fairly contemporary design. The client was also keen to provide renewable energy, so a Ground Source Heat Pump System was installed supplying all hot water and under floor heating.

As a building project, the fusion of modern specification and construction in to a 300 year old dilapidated property produced some huge challenges. However, after only 11 months, the completed project exceeded both the clients and the Conservation Officers expectations.
